Drinking nicely, but neither the nose nor the palate were perfectly focused. 2nd btl decanted & considerably more enjoyable, but while decanting provided the necessary focus, it also revealed that this cuvée is on the light side for a grand cru, but that is really a minor complaint. The good btls were absolutely scintillating, lively, multi–faceted examples of benchmark Burgundy grand cru. The last btl in this tranche was stunning (May 4, 2019). A great relief after the disatrous 2007's. From a lot of 11 (yes, 11) purchased in Aug. 2014 from the auction platform of a reputable West Coast retailer. Back label: Atherton Wine Imports. It has also gone from somewhat austere & reduced to being a full, rich white Burgundy with noble characteristics. Best decanted, allowing the floral elements & orchard fruit essence to emerge.   * **Puligny–Montrachet "Les Pucelles"** (Dec. 2018 – ): 3 btls not oxidized. Riper than the Folatières, with a classically Burgundian nose that turns floral, almost like a top Condrieu.
